		<description>Good luck getting the Muslims to follow the universal &quot;BCE/CE&quot; calendar. 

The birth of Christ had an incredible impact on the world, it would be foolish not to recognize it. Maybe the secular fear of changing the calendar to a linear progression marking the big bang as zero and moving forward is that they would have to encounter the ever so uncomfortable question of how the universe came into existence. This merely reveals the secularist&#039;s hubris. 

While I was at UCSB in a Western Civilization class, I had a Jewish studies T.A. who candidly explained to all of us that the history of Judaism changed forever following Jesus&#039; death (shortly after his birth historically speaking). I am constantly reminded by secularists that many, many people have claimed to be the messiah and Jesus is nothing special. However, he changed human history.
